Agadir – Zagora Desert

Agadir to Zagora desert :

Day 1, Agadir- Taliouine – Taznakhte - Ouarzazte :

Your 4 days tour to Zagora Desert will start in the early morning when Morocco Desert World driver will pick you up from your resort in Agadir city and will head toward Ouarzazate, known as Hollywood of Africa and the Gateway to the desert where you will spend your first night of the tour. On the way between we would be able to stop in some Berber villages and discover their lifestyle passing By Taliouine and Taznakhte. In the afternoon will have lunch at a typical restaurant from your choice before we continue to explore Kasbah Ait Benhado, UNESCO World heritage since 1987 and a historical site which was established ten centuries ago.

After the visit of the Kasbah, our next destination will be the hotel where the driver will drop you to spend your night there. A delicious dinner will be served hours after your arrival.

Day 2, Ouarzazate- Agdz- Zagora- M’ahamid :

After breakfast, and at around 9Am we will head toward Ouarzazate city to discover Atlas studios, Kasbah of Taourirt and the city centre. On the way to Zagora, you will across by several valleys, Kasbahs and oasis. Agdz town would be among our destinations, a little moment will be spent there to watch its old market, and have some pictures for the oasis of Tamnougalte from a panoramic view in the centre. Lunch will be in a restaurant in Kasbah of Oulad Othmane, 45km from Zagora. After lunch we continue to Zagora and see Daraa Valley and oasis, a beautiful oasis plenty of glamorous palm trees along the road. At the late afternoon we will get our camp.

A cup of mint tea will be waiting for you as well as a camel ride and a wonderful moment to watch the sunset from the peak of Erg lihoudi dunes where you will spend the night.

Day 3, Erg Lihoudi – Erg chegaga :

The 3rd day of the tour will be for relaxing, walking and stretching your legs on Sahara dunes. After breakfast you will start toward Chegaga dunes, the largest and widest Erg in Morocco, the dunes are far from M’ahamid El Ghizlane by around 60km, the way is just off-road. On the middle of the road, you will be able to see a bunch of Nomad’s lifestyle. Sahara animals, particularly Camels or desert ship as old Arab tribes call it.

Lunch will be in Oum Laalag oasis, a few kilometers from Chigaga. The oasis was in one time a trade station where travelers and traders stop on their way to Tomboktou. In the afternoon we will get Chigaga, the rest of the day will be for enjoying your time between the golden sands.

Day 4, Erg Chigaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakhte – Taliouine – Agadir :

Our last day of Agadir-Zagora Desert tour will start from Chigaga and ending in Agadir by crossing Foum Zguid Town for a break of tea or coffee, then heading toward Taznakhte, a little town known for Berber carpets. The trip to Agadir will take around 7 to 8 hours with some breaks on the way. At 19Pm you would be dropped off at your accommodation in Agadir.
